Get Ready.....it’s that time of year where we are planning for our 4th Annual
“Trucks, Trunks & Treats” on October 21st at the Birch Run Speedway & Event
Center. Here at the Chamber of Commerce, we are working on the logistics and
making sure that our businesses and community are aware and ready for this fun
event. Our current priority is to find vehicles/equipment for the Touch-a-Truck
displays and Decorated Trunks — all to provide advertising & treats that day. It is
tough to judge the number of kids that will attend, but we are anticipating over
1,300 ghosts and goblins running through the Speedway again this year.
Our event is scheduled from 1 to 4pm. The “Trunks & Treats” will be located
inside the track area and trunks can begin setup between 11am - 12pm. We ask
that all displays be in place by 12pm as large crowds are in attendance and makes
it difficult to maneuver thereafter. Food/snack/treat vendors will be located
inside the gates, near the concessions area and also requested to be set up by
12pm. Power will be provided to vendors, but plan on bringing your own tables
and decorations.
A few notes....We have added a petting zoo, FREE donuts to the first (300) in
costume and have 1,000 FREE hot dogs courtesy of Meijer. This is exciting and it
should be a large draw to our event.
We are working hard to make this a safe & fun event for our community. If
anyone is interested in Touch-a-Truck and/or Decorated Trunk displays, please
call our office to reserve your spot and be included in the SPOOK-tacular fun. We
appreciate your support in our communities — without your help, this event
would not be possible.
